Former Stagecoach frontman, Luke Barham, releases his debut solo album next week under the moniker Uncle Luc. Expect something more introspective and personal than the popular indie-slacker pop tunes of the aforementioned band's releases, including a long awaited debut album 'Say Hi to the Band', see our review. Still there though is the hint of Californian influence in the style and mood, occassionally expecting a line or two dropped in about the Big Sur.

As well as a short film introduction to 'Uncle Luc' the Surrey artist has released this video for 'Farewell Monsoon ahead of the release. The singles 'I Write' and 'Monsoon' are already gaining regular radio plays from the country's key guardians of new music; Huw Stephens and John Kennedy included, and with numerous festivals, headline gigs and support slots under his belt, it seems his talent will continue to be deservedly recoginised.

On what we have already heard, we can't wait to finally catch a live solo show at one of two perforances at the epic Southsea Festival this weekend.

You can check out the video below now. Then look out for an imminent online stream of the entire album and then pre-order it from iTunes or his website now.
