New Music: Introducing How To Dress A Monster
How To Dress A Monster have just arrived on the local scene with a debut single and brand new video, but they may feel more than a little familiar to those regular at venues across Surrey and Hampshire over the past few years. Featuring members of Fire At Night, The Crosstown Trio and The Sunrise Set, there is no doubt this Surrey-based trio have a bag full of experience to draw on.
They describe themselve as 'horror inspired indie' and they have gone with this theme in the excellent video for 'Scapegoat' which looks like it was great fun to make. More importantly the song is a winner; with it's politically charged lyrics and a dark late-80's indie meets 90's grunge rock sound there is a lot to like here.
We are looking forward to hearing more and seeing the familiar faces in an unfamiliar live set up soon. Follow How To Dress A Monster on Facebook and Soundcloud now.
Until then you can catch lead singer, Scott Swains' other band, Fire at Night at our next gig, this Friday at the Star Inn, Guildford with a night packed full of the best local bands.
HTDAM are Scott Swain (guitar and vocals), Andy Clarke (drums) and Coskun Guclu (double bass).
