New Music: Introducing Me and the Moon

If catchy indie-pop with a little folk thrown in is your thing, then you're gonna love Guildford's Me and the Moon. These guys are brand new, having only formed back in the summer, but they have hit the ground running with a debut EP and video already released.
'Run With Wolves' EP dropped back in October and it's excellent opener 'Hold On' has already been a featured track of the day on BBC Introducing as well as getting lots of love on Eagle3. You can watch the video for their first single and the title track on the EP below. With it's effortless gorgeous vocals and a laid-back summer vibe there is a lot to like here. For us, there's a touch of Of Monsters and Men in the male/female vocal duet chorus, but over the four-track EP it is the lead vocals that really stand out. The EP finishes with the lyric "and we chose this track, now we won't look back" and we tend to agree, a successful future awaits.
Me and the Moon are Tamara Jane (vocals), Guitar and backing vocals from Jonny Elstone, Bass from Yani De Jesus Patel and Alex Archer on Drums. Find out about their upcoming shows, music and merch here.
Me and the Moon will join Martha Paton, Hannah Dorman and Charlotte Mandell for our last gig of 2015. At The Keystone Pub and a joint promotion with Firefly Venues, this is sure to be a good night. Loads of amazing local talent for your ears.
