New Music: Starting to Pan Out?

Back in June 2014 we put on a packed day of bands and singers at our SummerFest all-dayer at The Boileroom in Guildford. Opening that day was a then solo performance from new local band itoldyouiwouldeatyou, followed by a stunning set from Annabel Allum. The raw talent was clear, but also it started a friendship and collaboration that has grown as these two acts have gone on to much bigger and better things.

As well as collaborating many times on stage, they wanted to release something together. We were so happy to get involved and release their split EP featuring two songs from each artist on our label in December 2014. 'We Have Not Yet Panned Out' and the subsequent 'Don't Cheer Up' EP from itoldyouiwouldeatyou have been far and away the most streamed and downloaded records we have released. They have both played plenty of shows for us and have improved so much each time we have seen them.

As both acts have grown (in numbers and as artists) they have rightly seen crowds grow and praise come from across the industry. It makes us really proud to have been involved at the start of their journey, but more than that, really excited to see where they go next. That next phase starts here with two new releases, hosted by some of the most trusted new music websites.

Today (15th July) sees new single 'Tricks' released by Annabel Allum, streaming on Clash - "New single 'Tricks' recalls early PJ Harvey or EMA's current creative phase, with those nasty amplified sounds set against a beautifully tender vocal."

This follows the brand new itoldyouiwouldeatyou single 'Get Out of Bed' that has been streaming over at DIY for the past week. - "Taking the twinkly emo template and adding innumerable bells and whistles, they’re a group that relish the freer side of expression."

Go check out their exciting new releases now and keep an eye out for any upcoming shows. They are not to be missed! Both will be back in Guildford at Always The Sun Festival this September as well as playing regular shows in and around London.
